New University websites launched so far in 2011

Realising that a presence on the web is an important asset, many of the University's departments and directorates are redesigning and creating new websites to best reflect and support their functions. We have put together a brief roundup of recently launched websites from across the University to help keep you up to date with changes.
Directorate of External Affairs
The Directorate of External Affairs (DEA) comprises: Communications, Corporate Relations and Events, Design & Print Studio, Development and Alumni Relations, Digital Development, and Marketing and Recruitment.
Many of these divisions have their own individual websites, but this new site brings them all together in one place. Find out about what colleagues in the Directorate are responsible for, what the overall aims of External Affairs are, and who to contact if you need to get in touch with anyone from DEA.
Human Resources

The Human Resources website has been redesigned and re-launched to make it more user-friendly, and easier to navigate. Find everything you need to know about HR in one place; from annual leave to pensions, to health and well-being and recruitment. There is also a useful A-Z index section to help you find the information you are looking for.
Faculty of Arts and Humanities and the Department of English Language and Literature
Both the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and the Department of English Language and Literature have new websites in order to reflect that recent changes that were made within the Faculty. The Department of Art's website will also being going live in the coming weeks. The Faculty website contains useful contacts as well as research highlights from the three departments, and details of the many faculty wide research centres. On the Department of English Language and Literature site you can read about all undergraduate and postgraduate courses within the department, as well as all the latest research, news and events.
UK Archaeological Sciences Conference 2011

The University's Department of Archaeology is hosting the bi-annual UK Archaeological Sciences Conference in September this year. This website will be updated throughout the year with all of the latest conference registration and programme information.
Soil Research Centre

The Soil Research Centre was established in 2010 as the focus for soil related research activities at the University. This new website provides a digital home for the Centre and contains information about their research and postgraduate courses.
