Please let us have your feedback by emailing communications@reading.ac.uk
Since the launch of the staff portal, nearly 300 articles have been published to the portal - covering issues that keep you; informed about changes around the University, up to date on administrative items that enable you to carry out your work efficiently, aware of communications to staff by the Vice-Chancellor, and inviting you to the opening of several new departments and catering facilities.
Hopefully, we have also been able to bring you interesting items about colleagues' achievements and in articles such as the 'day in the life' series, give you an insight into the many varied jobs that are carried out by often very long-standing and dedicated people that make the University of Reading such an excellent place to work.
All of the 300 articles are still available to read - simply choose the 'news' tab at the top of the homepage to see them all by category.
The 'Hot Topics' section, on the left hand side of the front page of the portal, has a large number of visits per week, which proves that staff are using this to keep informed about important issues such as student fee increases, reshaping the University and the halls transfer project.
Hopefully, you have found your portal has improved communication and helped to utilise your time more efficiently by giving you quicker access to information.
With 75,000 visits to the portal every month, it appears that you are indeed finding it useful and interesting.
However, this will always be 'work in progress', and we will continue to improve the portal in any way we can. Please let us have your feedback - what do you find useful and/or interesting? What would you like improved? Any comments you have are very welcome.
You can contact us easily by using the 'submit a story' link or emailing communications@reading.ac.uk directly.
