Malaysian High Commissioner visits Henley Business School

The University was recently delighted to welcome the High Commissioner of Malaysia to the United Kingdom to Henley Business School.
In an event organised by the University and the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce Group (TVCCG), his Excellency Datuk Zakaria Sulong joined leading regional business representatives for a round table lunch to discuss business opportunities in Malaysia.
The University of Reading is a renowned global institution and is currently investigating the prospect of building a branch campus in Malaysia. Discussions centred on how Thames Valley businesses can work together with the University, the potential for investment in Malaysia and how to ensure that University of Reading students/graduates have opportunities for good work placements. His Excellency also gave an economic overview and highlighted the sector specifics of Malaysia
Professor Steven Mithen, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for International and External Engagement said: "The meeting was a big success. The event formed part of TVCCG's strategic and targeted introductions programme.
Christina Howell, Head of External Affairs, Thames Valley Chamber added: "It was a great opportunity for Chamber members who are interested in Malaysia to hear the plans for the University of Reading Iskandar and to discuss how all can benefit. Also, it was good to let the High Commission know about our inward investment capability which is helpful to trade relationships."
