Many congratulations to Emma Lambden who was voted runner up in a competition to find the PA of the year on Friday.
Emma was nominated by her boss, Shaun Horan, Director of Development and External Affairs for the prestigious award run by Executive PA Magazine. "Emma is an excellent and extremely capable Executive Assistant. She takes on a great deal of extra responsibility and is an integral part of the Directorate" said Shaun.
"I was delighted to nominate her and very proud that she has beaten fierce competition to come this far in the competition."
As one of only six finalists chosen for her category out of hundreds of entrants, Emma was invited to attend a gala reception at the Grange Tower Bridge Hotel, London on Friday. During the evening, the six finalists were interviewed by a panel of four judges from industry.
"The evening was really enjoyable;" said Emma "even though the interview was very gruelling. I was delighted when my name was called out as runner up. I shall keep my trophy in pride of place on my desk."
The Executive PA Magazine Awards are held annually to recognise and reward achievement, hard work and professionalism.
A spokeswoman from Executive PA Magazine said; "In addition to all the professional requirements, PAs must have excellent communication skills, be diplomatic under fire, maintain a high degree of professionalism at all times, and above all be able to deliver results - today's successful PA is a real asset to any organisation."
