Electronic payslips - update
Monday, 21 November 2011
E-slips will appear in Employee Self Service up to two working days earlier than you would normally receive your printed payslip
Since February this year, all employees have been able to opt-out of receiving a hardcopy of their payslip every month.
All staff are able to view and print their current payslip as well as their payslip history and, if they choose, can forward copies of the payslip to themselves. These facilities are all available via Employee Self Service (ESS).
Human Resources have now enabled the automated distribution of payslips via email to all those staff that have ‘opted out' meaning that employees no longer need to email payslips to themselves each month.
Everyone is encouraged to sign up for automated email payslips and also opt-out of receiving printed copies. As an added benefit, you will receive your electronic payslip several days before the hardcopies are distributed.
If you have chosen to still receive a hardcopy payslip in addition to your e-slip you will continue to receive this through the internal post.
Please note that you may change your e-slip settings at any time by logging into Employee Self Service. Further information about this and opting in to your e-slip can be found in the guidance notes on the Employee Self Service home page at http://www.reading.ac.uk/internal/humanresources/humres-selfservice.aspx
