2011 has been an exciting year at Reading with ground-breaking research outcomes across the University, a strong performance in university league tables, including our highest-ever placing in the World University Rankings (164th), and our students and graduates continue to make a real difference in their communities and for their employers.
Campus investment has continued apace; we have opened the Minghella Building, new home to the Department for Film, Theatre and TV, restored our historic London Road campus ready for occupation by the Institute of Education in January 2012 and completed our £20 million investment in catering facilities. We also announced our intention to open a campus in Malaysia.
We are delighted to share a few of the highlights of 2011 with you and are very excited about what 2012 will bring for the University.
