Introducing Venue Reading - re-investing in your University

As of 3 January 2012, Commercial Services (Conference and Events) have introduced their new identity - Venue Reading.

The University's beautiful campuses boast a wide range of facilities, which provide an excellent venue for both external and internal conferences, functions and meetings. Venue Reading offers a range of packages to help external and internal colleagues co-ordinate high quality, professional experiences for delegates and visitors.

All revenue raised through this activity is invested back into the University, to improve teaching and learning facilities and other services for the benefit of students and staff.

Venue Reading can provide support for a range of events at the University including:

Residential and academic conferences and related activities
Weddings and other private functions
Day meetings (internal and external)

Margaret Whitmarsh, Venue Reading's Conference and Events Manager said: "We are very excited about our new identity as Venue Reading and are looking forward to working with staff across the University to help them facilitate high quality conferences and meetings.

"Whilst we are still part of the Facilities Management Directorate, we hope that our new identity will help us position the University as one of Reading's premier event venues. Our aim is to raise our profile to external clients, including those in the local community, as we can provide them with a professional events service in a fantastic setting, on their doorstep."
