Visits to our three Open Days this year have been up by about a third on previous years. With the prospect of increased debt at the end of three years, it appears that prospective students and their parents are taking a keener interest in their choices than ever before.
It is important that we communicate the benefits of the Reading experience' to this audience in a way that engages them. We can ensure Reading stays at the forefront of their minds by keeping them interested in and excited about what the University and their choice of Department has to offer. Digital communications are a strong vehicle for managing this relationship.
The Digital Development team can support your Department to develop your use of a wide range of digital, social and new media channels of communication and make sure you get the best out of these tools. There are a lot of great examples already in use across the University.
Not all tools and channels will be appropriate for every objective so do explore the options with Digital Development if you need any advice:-
e-newsletters
The Digital Development team is pleased to announce its eNewsletter is ready for use. The system has been brought in to address the requests from colleagues in the University for communicating with a variety of audiences and prospective partners and students.
A cost effective system has been chosen that addresses user needs and expectations from email marketing communications, as well as for its flexibility to deliver email to a variety of audiences.
If you want more information and are interested in learning more about the eNewletter system before you sign up please email digitaldevelopment@reading.ac.uk. We will be happy to meet with you and discuss your needs, giving you an idea of resources required and help you decide if this is the right option for you. A simple guide to setting up, running an eNewsletter campaign and costs will also be provided to you.
