we really want to generate public debate about our research agenda. Visit the forum and let us know what you think
If you want to know what's going on at the University of Reading and about our international research in particular, then visit our new blog site The Forum. More importantly, we want your views and comments about the articles by our academics.
Each month we will post two to three features representing different research areas across the University. Sometimes these will be tied in with the news agenda, and at others they will offer interesting viewpoints or discuss a subject of debate within a particular field.
But it's very important to us that this is two-way; we really want to generate public debate about our research agenda. Maybe you have learnt something new, maybe you are working on a similar area, maybe you disagree; the more comments the merrier.
We have a lot to shout about - as a research-intensive university we have real-world impact and we want people to know how we are helping with some of the major challenges facing society.
Our first three blogs focus on the troubles of the Eurozone and the hard choices to be made; the research helping Queensland to more accurately predict weather patterns; and our third gives a fascinating glimpse into the minds of a group of children at the age of 11 around education and future career paths.
So visit us at http://blogs.reading.ac.uk/the-forum/ and do let us know what you think.
