New convenient Staff Campus Card launched

The University is pleased to announce the launch of the Staff Campus Card, which will allow all staff to purchase food and drink at any University catering outlet without the need for cash, and receive a discount at the same time.

Once money has been loaded onto a user's card it can be used in all outlets operated by Catering Services across the Whiteknights and London Road campuses. Staff using the card to purchase food and drink will receive a 10% discount on the majority of items available.*

In addition, the card will also allow access to the SportsPark and into the music practice rooms (subject to the payment of the relevant membership fees).  It is hoped that the card will eventually be used for other purposes such as door access to certain University buildings.

How to get your card:

Where: Ground floor lobby of the Main Library on the Whiteknights campus

Date: 13 to 24 February (Monday to Friday)

Time: 9.00am to 4.30pm

Other information:

• Please take your University employee number with you so that you can be issued with your card
• You will need to have your photograph taken when you go to collect your card
• Once you have your card you need to register online at www.reading.ac.uk/cardfinance (click 'register') to be able to put money into your card account 

From Monday 27 February, staff will be able to book a card collection appointment with the Campus Services team online.
