We are delighted to announce that the University's Museum of English Rural Life has been included in a longlist of only 20 museums for the Sunday Telegraph Family Friendly Museum Award 2012.

"We are delighted to have been selected and would like to thank everyone who took the time to respond to our campaign back in October when we asked visitors to write to ‘Kids in Museums' to nominate MERL. We are very grateful for your support;" said Alison Hilton, MERL Marketing Officer.

Current workshops, ‘All things optical' are inspired by the ‘Filed Work' photographic exhibition, and as always there are lots of activities available around the museum, as well as ‘Make & take' activities this weekend.
