Your Venue Reading team hope to meet you on Thursday 19 April Palmer Building

Venue Reading are hosting a special launch event for staff on Thursday 19 April, and there is still time to confirm your place if you haven't already.

The event is taking place in the Palmer building at 10.15am. Please email info@venuereading.com to confirm your place. There will be an opportunity to meet the Venue Reading team, and find out about the meeting, conference and events services they can offer you.

Refreshments will be provided and there is a chance to enter a prize draw to win dinner bed and breakfast at Greenlands in Henley, lunch for two in Blandfords, champagne or a floral display.

The University's beautiful campuses boast a wide range of facilities, which provide an excellent venue for both external and internal conferences, functions and meetings. Venue Reading offers a range of packages to help external and internal colleagues co-ordinate high quality, professional experiences for delegates and visitors.

All revenue raised through this activity is invested back into the University, to improve teaching and learning facilities and other services for the benefit of students and staff.

Venue Reading can provide support for a range of events at the University including:

• Residential and academic conferences and related activities
• Weddings and other private functions
• Day meetings (internal and external)

Margaret Whitmarsh, Venue Reading's Conference and Events Manager, said: "The current climate is challenging from an economic point of view and changes at the University mean that, now more than ever, we have to maximise the use of all University facilities outside of core time to bring in additional revenue.

"We would be delighted if you could join us at our special staff event as we are looking forward to working with staff across the University to help them facilitate high quality conferences and meetings."
