Record your walks online during the 14ÔÇô18 May and boost the UniversityÔÇÖs statistics
Next week is Walk to Work Week. The University has stepped up to the challenge and signed up for national Walk to Work Week (14-18 May). We hope as many members of staff as possible will join in. Visit www.livingstreets.org.uk to register.
There is bound to be some healthy competition to see who can top our own workplace leader board. We will also be competing against organisations across the country to see who can get the most people walking and who walks the most.
The week is about more than just walking to work. So if you are unable to walk even part of your journey to work you can still get involved by taking one of the lunchtime walks arranged below:
Wednesday 16 May, 12.30pm
A campus Walk with Giles Reynolds, Head of Grounds. Meet outside the Palmer Building. Suitable footwear recommended as it may be muddy.
Thursday 17 May, 12.30pm
A tree walk with Rupert Taylor, Assistant Grounds Manager. Meet at the entrance of the Wilderness (near the Philip Lyle building, RSSL new entrance and Harris Garden entrance). Again, suitable footwear recommended as it may be muddy.
If those times are not suitable, you could arrange to walk by yourself or with friends and colleagues. It all counts towards the University's total.
