Walk to work week - how did we do?

Monday, 28 May 2012

walk to work

Thank you to everyone who participated in walk to work week by logging their walks on the Livingstreets website. During the week (14-18 May) we logged a total of 202 miles between us at the University, which equates to 36 muffins burned and 35 Kilograms of CO2 saved.

Congratulations to our top walkers for the week  - Ash Smith, Matthew White, Karen Stanbridge, Emma Versteegh and Lesley Hammond. Thanks also to Giles Reynolds and Rupert Taylor for leading two excellent lunchtime walks around the Whiteknights campus and its trees. They were very enjoyable and informative.

It's not time to hang up the walking boots just yet though! You can continue to log your walks at www.Livingstreets.org.uk throughout the year to see how far you have gone. These will continue to add to the University's overall total. With the weather as gorgeous as it is currently is there's no excuse!
