'At its heart, the blog represents a valuable resource that is led by our teaching and learning community.'
The Centre for the Development of Teaching and Learning (CDoTL) has launched a new blog, entitled 'Engage in Teaching and Learning', to provide insight into teaching and learning for staff across the University.
CDoTL hope that this new medium will encourage staff to use the blog as a forum to share their own teaching and learning news and thoughts in a swift and engaging way.
Professor Gavin Brooks, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Teaching and Learning, said: "One of the key aims of the blog is to provide staff with an opportunity to readily and easily post comments and thoughts on matters relating to teaching and learning. At its heart, it represents a valuable resource that is led by our teaching and learning community."
CDoTL would like to invite members of staff across the University to share their thoughts and ideas in the form of short posts, articles, or videos on any teaching and learning related topic. The blog also provides the opportunity to include video reports, podcasts, photographs, as well as links out to other websites or "tags" to flag an article as being for a particular audience.
All documents for publishing should be sent to cdotl@reading.ac.uk for uploading onto the blog. There is no submission deadline but in order to keep the blog up-to-date CDoTL would like colleagues to regularly submit entries so that it becomes a resource that reflects the interests and thoughts of the University's teaching and learning community.
