Henley Business School staff take on the spirit of the Olympics
Wednesday, 08 August 2012
Henley Business School Programme Support Team held an Olympic fun day at the beginning of the month on the lawns of the Greenlands' campus.
Twenty members of Operations staff took part, divided into teams representing different nations, each team wearing their colours with pride.
Becky Kite, Programme Administrator said; "We organised races such as skipping, shot put, hula-hooping and the hotly contested 3-legged race.
"Entrants were very competitive and even a heavy down pour didn't dampen their spirits and only halted play momentarily. Spectators cheered on the teams loud enough to rival a Dorney crowd!
"Rather aptly, Team GB took the gold medal, largely due to their impressive welly wanging and success at the egg and spoon."
Post-Olympic refreshments were provided in the Operations office, appropriately decorated with an Olympic theme.
