a series of events focussed on supporting and promoting the UniversityÔÇÖs interdisciplinary research on sustainability in the built environment
On Wednesday 26 September the School of Construction Management and Engineering will host the second in a series of events focussed on supporting and promoting the University's interdisciplinary research on sustainability in the built environment (SBE). Professor Christine Williams, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) will open the lunchtime event, which runs from 1pm to 3pm (lunch included).
Building on work identifying the breadth and depth of the University's research into SBE, this will be an opportunity for networking with colleagues from across the University whilst providing a forum for looking to the future.
The website has already been launched http://www.reading.ac.uk/sustainability-in-the-built-environment/ and an accompanying brochure will be distributed at the event, for academics to use for promotional purposes.
Focussed on next steps, academics representing the six research themes will provide a short overview of research in their areas. There will be an open discussion on the future of SBE research within the university, and opportunities for collaboration and external promotion will also be explored.
Members of staff working in related areas are welcome to attend: 1-3pm, InnovationWorks, Science and Technology Centre, Earley Gate
Numbers are limited; please contact Stephanie Weller by Friday 21 September if you are interested in attending. Email s.j.weller@reading.ac.uk or telephone ext 8587
