John takes a well-earned retirement after 41 years at the University

John Wright from the Agriculture and Food Investigation Team (AFIT) in the School of Agriculture, Policy and Development, retired recently after 41 years service at the University.
John began work as an Investigation Officer in the former Department of Agricultural Economics in October 1971, under the direction of Emeritus Professor Tony Giles.
He was mainly involved working on the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and later department for Environment, Food and rural Affairs Commissioned Work Programmes delivering the annual Farm Business Survey.
During a long career John held senior roles within AFIT and on national committees. He was on his last day at work the 10th (equal) longest serving employee at the University.
