The 1% message is the focus of a new campaign over the next few months to support recruitment and conversion of applicants
This is the message that will be written large on banners at the entrances to the Whiteknights campus this weekend and will greet thousands of prospective students and their parents at our open day on Saturday.
The 1% message is the focus of a new campaign over the next few months to support recruitment and conversion of applicants. It is founded on our excellent ranking in the Times Higher Education World Ranking 2012.
Retaining a world top 1% ranking in an increasingly competitive international higher education environment is an accolade for the University and a tribute to the talent and expertise of our staff. It is a message that creates confidence in prospective students, both international and UK, strengthens our reputation as a serious contributor to the regional economy.
In order to translate this message into a further series of 'Firsts' for the University of Reading and to maximise the benefits of the campaign, we would like every Department or School in the University to tell us what they are 'First' for.
Typography was first to receive the Queen's Anniversary Prize, Henley Business School is ranked first in the world for the quality of its students, and our campus environment came first in the Times Higher Student Experience 2012 survey, are just three examples.
