On 28 November the University Research Staff Committee is hosting its third conference for all Research Staff at the University.

There will be a number of talks and interactive sessions with themes such as: developing the working relationships between Principal Investigators and Research Staff; the University's research strategy and growing the Research Staff community.

Dr Emma Versteegh, Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Human & Environmental Sciences, attended the conference last year: "Going to the Research Staff Conference was very helpful, it gave me the opportunity to chat to people from different research areas, who were having the same experiences as me and it was really encouraging to know I was not alone.

"This year's theme of working relationships will be very interesting. I get on really well with my Principal Investigator but it would be useful to know how we can make our working relationship even more productive in the future."

Dr Justin Hutchence, Research Staff Development Manager, said: "This is an opportunity not to be missed by Research Staff as it is a great way for them to become more involved in the Research Staff community. They will be able to network with other Research Staff and discuss possible collaboration, as well as gain new skills to help with working relationships."

This year's Research Staff Conference takes place on 28 November. If you would like to find out more and book a free place see the CSTD website
