Monday, 26 November 2012

working together

Awards up to the value of £100 can now be given to recognise excellence at any time

The University is pleased to launch the Celebrating Success Scheme, as part of our commitment to recognise and reward achievement at the earliest possible opportunity, as outlined in the HR Strategy, Working Together: A Strategy for Success.

The Celebrating Success Scheme provides an immediate, flexible and tangible recognition for staff for a job well done, or for demonstration of positive professional behaviours.

Managers will be able to nominate members of staff for awards up to the value of £100, which can be redeemed for vouchers from a wide range of retailers, allowing staff to select something they really want. Awards can be made at any time throughout the year, subject to approval and budget availability.

The Celebrating Success Scheme forms part of a suite of arrangements for encouraging, recognising and rewarding staff for exceptional performance and for their contribution to the achievement of the University's aims.  These include:

Celebrating Success Vouchers

Lump Sum Awards

Additional increments/Contribution Points

Merit-based Promotion.
