The Meadow Suite will make a beautiful wedding venue
Two excellent facilities opened by Venue Reading will bring income to the University
The University now offers two fantastic new venues on the Whiteknights campus available all year round, in term time and vacation.
The University's Blue Room has undergone refurbishment to create The Meadow Suite, a flexible space for meetings, functions, weddings and formal dining.
The beautiful, modern venue, which includes a fully licensed bar, can be customised to your own requirements. It can be split into two levels, so that the upper level can seat up to 110 for the wedding breakfast allowing the lower level to be the perfect stage for evening entertainment and dancing.
The Meadow Suite is ideal for weddings and features a wide decking area which boasts fantastic views of the meadow on campus, and on which drinks and canapés can be enjoyed by guests. This will be followed by a delicious three course meal brought to you by the award winning catering team.
The Meadow Suite can also be used for meetings and functions, and includes full Wi-Fi and AV. The new bar and kitchen facilities are capable of providing hot meals for up to 400 people from an extensive menu ranging from simple buffet food to three or four course meals.
The University's former Black Horse House has also undergone refurbishment to create the Cedars Hotel and Conference Centre, a purpose built meeting and accommodation facility located at the centre of Whiteknights campus.
The hotel and conference centre is ideal for events such as meetings, workshops, training days and residential events, as all rooms are fully equipped with television, video recorder, white board, flip chart & pens. Further audio visual items such as laptops and data projectors are available on request.
The hotel and conference centre features three newly refurbished meeting rooms with fitted AV which can be booked for either whole days or sessions. The bedroom accommodation has been upgraded and a full breakfast is offered seven days a week.
Both the Meadow Suite and the Cedars Hotel and Conference Centre were launched on 30 January at an exciting event where guests were able to enjoy a sample the venues' fantastic catering including the very popular chocolate fountain.
