An indicative artist's impression of the Wells Hall site redevelopment

The site of Wells Hall, disused since 2006, has been granted planning permission by Reading Borough Council to be redeveloped.

The proposals involve the demolition of the five-storey structure and the redevelopment of the site with 34 family homes in an attractive landscape setting with open spaces and mature trees.

The University will now work closely with Reading Borough Council on a section 106 agreement to secure appropriate contributions toward local facilities such as leisure and open space, schools and affordable housing.
