The Henley Challenge 2013 - Who wins? You decide
Staff and students from the Henley Business School took part in the first Henley Challenge recently.
The Henley Challenge is a competition that is open to all students across Henley Business School which encourages them to use their knowledge, skills and creativity in a different way.
Five teams, made up of either individuals or small groups, made presentations on the 20 February on the theme: ‘In today's society, what do the concepts of trust, character and integrity mean for business?' The presentations were given in front of a live audience of more than 100 enthusiastic supporters.
Following the evening of presentations, organisers are encouraging the wider University community to vote, by watching videos of each on the Henley YouTube channel and ‘liking' their favourite.
The group that receives the largest amount of votes (including votes from the evening) will receive a cheque for £1,000.
Professor Ginny Gibson, Deputy Dean of the Business School, chaired the panel of academic judges and commented: "The quality and diversity of the presentations was truly inspiring. It was great to have representation from the whole student community - from undergraduate to PhD - as well as support from a wide range of academics.
"The event helped to bring the business school together and foster a growing sense of community and confidence. The topic brought out much food for thought and demonstrated how these core values are fundamental to both personal and organisational success. This is certainly something that we will make a regular event."
