Film, Theatre & TV students performing

All performances taking place this week are open to staff, students and members of the public

The Department of Film, Theatre & Television is hosting its annual festival this week. Twenty two final year students' films and plays are to be screened and performed twice, across five days, and all performances are open to staff, students and members of the public.

The students have staged well known plays such as ‘The Miller's Tale' by Geoffrey Chaucer and Harold Pinter's ‘The Lover', as well as writing and directing their own performances and short films.

Dr Teresa Murjas, Senior Lecturer in Theatre, said: "These final year projects form the culmination of the practical strand of the students' degrees and we welcome anyone who would like to come and appreciate their work. The combination of individual practice and creative collaboration has helped the student directors as well as their student cast and crew develop a huge range of invaluable skills."

There are performances taking place every day this week, all in the state-of-the-art Minghella building on the Whiteknights campus.

For the performance programme please visit the FTT Facebook page.
