Students' Union success in 2012-13
Monday, 29 April 2013
This year Reading University Students' Union (RUSU) has continued to work hard to support and enhance students' university experience. The team have put together a short animation to record and celebrate their achievements so far.
Highlights of 2012-13 include: student officers winning £300,000 for a 24 hour study space on the Whiteknights campus, running advice sessions that have saved students over £100,000, and a 443% increase in student volunteering activities.
RUSU President James Fletcher said: "I am very proud of RUSU's achievements this year. They are testament to the hard work of our student officers and staff, of the enthusiasm of students that engage with us and our activities, and of the University staff who work in partnership with us.
"We value our relationship with the University and our ability to have frank, open and honest discussions on matters of great importance to students with staff in all departments. I hope that you enjoy this video that details our impact this year and I am always available to speak with any colleagues who wish to help us make students' lives better at Reading."
