The University's Campaigns Office would like to hear from you
What would that ‘if only' be for you?
What are the projects or activities would you like to develop, enhance, do more of or even start doing if only money were available?
The Campaigns Office are looking for a range of innovative, persuasive and compelling projects for its first major fundraising campaign. These could be current projects that may be attractive to, or benefit from, fundraising for philanthropic income.
Alternatively or additionally, they could be projects that you would like to carry out if you were able to secure funding.
Once submitted, projects will be reviewed by a group of current donors and supporters to the University who will identify their appeal for fundraising as well as the potential impact of the project.
There are no hard and fast rules about what makes a good fundraising project - different donors are interested in different areas and have different motivations for giving - but we do ask for projects that will have an impact on real world problems being faced by society in order to tie in with the overarching theme of the campaign.
The Campaigns Office has traditionally worked extensively with the science and business areas of the University and will continue to do so as part of the Campaign. However, they would very much like to include projects from within the Arts and Humanities that may have a positive impact on problems being faced by societies and individuals around the globe.
If your project is selected to form part of the fundraising campaign, the Campaigns Office will work with you to help raise as much of the money as possible. The Campaign will focus on matching prospective donors' interests to the successful projects. The process should not be viewed as competitive, and all proposals will be reviewed independently.
This is a very exciting opportunity, with great potential to enhance all that we do here at the University. The deadline for submissions is 12 May 2013. Please use the following links to access the guidelines and proposal form:
