supporting you

click on the 'supporting you' tab at the top of the page now

Simply click on the ‘supporting you' tab above to see all the amazing activities, workshops and seminars taking place during the Take a Break day at Whiteknights on Friday 28 June and book your place!

Places are booking up very quickly so please make sure that you do not miss your chance to take part in any of the sessions still available.

All sessions last less than an hour so please put some time aside to take a break from your normal work to join in. Academic staff that will be embroiled in marking exam papers will be especially welcome!

You can try your hand (or feet) at ballroom dancing for beginners or perhaps you would prefer Latin American dancing, both taught by the County School of Dancing.

Not to be missed - a few places still available at the ‘Ready steady cook' session - come and watch the University Chefs challenged by the Department of Food and Nutritional Science to cook a healthy meal from a bag of mystery ingredients.

If you ever feel you never get to the end of your ‘to do' list? The ‘stop beating yourself up' session is for you. Feel that you would like to take an hour out to reflect on your life balance/what your goals really are? Tutor Jan Shine can help you there.

Apart from the bookable sessions, there will be many other things that do not require booking such as a marketplace to visit that will highlight the support services that are freely accessible to all staff and could make a positive difference to our working lives.

Come and listen to the University staff choir outside Palmer at 1.00pm!

These are just a few of the things happening on campus. Unfortunately the ‘office yoga' and ‘Tui Na massage' sessions are already fully booked, but make sure you click on the supporting you tab above take a look at the many other sessions still available.
