Reading beats St John's Cambridge

University Challenge

Congratulations to the Reading team who won their first heat of University Challenge on BBC2 last night.

The University of Reading team beat St John's College Cambridge by 180 points to 120.

The Reading team beat hundreds of other universities to make into the last 28 that will take part in the televised series of competitions. 

The team: Michael Dunleavy, UG Biomedical Sciences; Christopher White, UG History; Luke Tudge, MSc Psychology; Peter Burgess (team captain), EngD in Solar power monitoring. Helen Johnson, MA Applied Linguistics is the team reserve.
