Excellent deal on theatre tickets for University staff
Thursday, 25 July 2013
The University has just been notified of a special offer for University staff to see ‘Look Back in Anger' by John Osborne by the Reading Rep theatre company.
Reading Rep is in its inaugural year. So far they have had sell out performances of their first three shows, and their current show ‘Look Back in Anger' by John Osborne opened last week to rave reviews "...an outstanding production that would give anything from the west end a run for its money, and win." - iReviewTheatre. ‘Look Back in Anger' has been described as ‘a landmark of British Theatre'; John Osborne's infamous play catapulted Jimmy Porter, the first Angry Young Man, onto the stage. A vicious indictment of middle-class mediocrity, it is an enthralling and disturbing work by a master British playwright.
Part of Reading Rep's driving philosophy is to work with all aspects of Reading community including the University. They already provide formal academic work placements and are developing partnerships with the University, but Reading Rep also want to reach University staff directly and are offering the deal of two tickets for £10 for performances tonight (Monday 29 July) or tomorrow (Tuesday 30 July).
This offer is only available to University of Reading staff and can be booked online up to two hours before the show starts. Only one group ticket can be purchased per transaction, this ticket will allow two people into the theatre. NB - this special offer is not available through ReadingArts, please click on: www.ticketsource.co.uk/event/40541 and use the code: RR-UOR-1 when you have selected your ticket.
Subject to availability tickets can also be bought in person at the box office (cash only), which opens 1hr before the show starts. Please bring a copy of this article or campus card etc to ensure only University Staff are getting this deal.
Details about the performance time, place and other information can be found on the Reading Rep website.
