The Belle Bows - the University's first Ensemble in Residence

Hear The Belle Bows at the first lunchtime concert of the season on Tuesday 8 October in Palmer G10 at 1.10pm

String quartet, the ‘Belle Bows', an ensemble of student musicians have been selected to be the first Student Ensemble in Residence for 2013-14.

The ensemble will perform at a variety of University events such as the House of Lords reception for alumni, Open Days and the Carol service.

The Belle Bows consists of four female students. Three of whom are studying at the University for a BA (Ed) with music specialism; Elizabeth Morgan, violin 1; Daisy Trueman, viola and Amelia Davies, cello. Claire Howard, violin II, is currently studying for a Masters in Law at University of Law, Guildford. Claire graduated from Reading this summer.

The group will receive a development fund to support them over the coming year, enabling them to buy music and equipment as well as coaching.

You have the opportunity to hear the Belle Bows give their inaugural recital as our Ensemble in Residence at the first lunchtime concert of the season, which will take place on Tuesday 8 October in Palmer G10 at 1.10pm.

The lunchtime concert series will then continue to take place free of charge, each Tuesday at 1.10pm throughout the term. All are welcome.
