All staff and students are invited to an act of remembrance

Monday, 04 November 2013

remembrance cross

All members of the University, staff and students, are welcome to gather together on Monday 11 November

This year, the University will hold its own act of remembrance on Monday 11 November for those who have made the ultimate sacrifice on the country's behalf.

We can remember too those within the University community who have died over the past year. Such a ceremony, with a period of silence, also offers a chance to reflect on close family and friends who are no longer with us.

This year there will be a short ceremony, which will include the traditional lowering of the Union flag and a minute's silence, taking place at each of our three campuses, at the following locations:

London Road   Memorial clock tower

Greenlands       flagpole near cattle grid

Whiteknights   flagpole between the library and Whiteknights House

All members of the University, staff and students, are welcome to gather at the most convenient location for them at 10.50am on Monday 11 November 2013.
