The University Chorus is looking for new members

Thursday, 16 January 2014

University Chorus

Do you enjoy singing? Perhaps you fancy a new challenge for the New Year. Maybe you sang as a child but haven't done since.

The University of Reading Chorus is holding two open rehearsals this month to give students, staff and members of the local community a chance to meet existing members and try it out for themselves. No singing experience is required, just plenty of enthusiasm.

  • Thursday 16 January (in the G01 Recital Room on the London Road Campus, L29)
  • Thursday 23 January (in the Great Hall, London Road - the usual rehearsal venue)

Rehearsals are held weekly on Thursday evenings from 7.30pm until 9.30pm. It is led by the dynamic young conductor Jo Bywater who is very keen to enrol new members this term, men in particular. The choir is about to start learning Orff's thrilling Carmina Burana, which will be performed in late June.

If you have any questions do contact Rebecca Ranson, Arts Administrator on 0118 378 8518 / music@reading.ac.uk.

We look forward to meeting you!
