New Staff Forum meets for first time

The University's new Staff Forum, representing all colleagues up to and including Grade 5, holds its first formal meeting on Thursday 19 June.
The elected members of the forum will be discussing a wide range of issues, including the University's 2026 strategy, the ongoing Efficiency and Effectiveness exercise and the reform of our Charter, Statutes and Ordinances. The first meeting will be chaired by Deputy Vice-Chancellor Tony Downes.
Members of the Forum have received training in preparation for their roles from ACAS and have already put that to good use in contributing to the drafting of the Forum Agreement - which will be agreed today.
The employee representatives on the Forum are:
- Rhiannon Vaughan - a Senior Secretary within the Director's Office in Estates and Facilities.
- Maureen Martin - the Digital Development Team Administrator.
- Debby Livermore - an Accounts Officer within the School of Biological Sciences.
- Rob Sassoon - the Deputy Admissions Officer within the Admissions Department.
- Tracy Lunn - the Grounds Section Head within the Grounds Services Maintenance Team.
- Jess Bennett - a Programme Administrator within the Executive Education Department of Henley Business School.
- Dawn Turner - a Departmental Secretary within the Meteorology Department.
- Michelle Hargreaves - the Senior Projects Administrator within the Projects Team in Estates and Facilities.
- Jacqui Thijm - the Pharmacy Teaching Technician within the School of Chemistry, Food and Pharmacy.
- Jo Dormer - an Administration Assistant for Campus Services.
- Sinead O'Flynn - the Lyle Administrator within the Meteorology Department.
Sue Mott and Carole Allison have also been invited to attend the first formal meetings of the Forum as former representatives of the trade unions Unite and Unison respectively.
The Forum Agreement, minutes and further information about its operation will also be available shortly on the Human Resources website.
