Clearing 2014

Thursday 14 August is A-level results day. Admissions colleagues both centrally and around the University have been working hard over the past few days to ensure we secure our next cohort of talented undergraduate students.

To enable us to respond quickly to all enquiries from both our firm and insurance offer holders, as well as prospective students wishing to join the University through Clearing or Adjustment, two individual hotlines will be in operation:

Clearing and Adjustment hotline - 0118 402 0900

  • Thursday 14 August - 8am-8pm
  • Friday 15 August - 8am-6pm
  • Saturday 16 August - 10am-2pm
  • Monday 18 August onwards - 9am-5pm

This can be an anxious time for prospective students, so any calls or enquiries received should be redirected to the appropriate hotline, where the University Admissions team will be able to help them.

All students who are offered a place at Reading through the Clearing or Adjustment process will be personally invited to visit the University, where they will have the opportunity to speak with academic colleagues and see our wonderful campuses and facilities. From Thursday 14 to Tuesday 19 August all visitors should be directed to the Palmer building, where a welcome area will be staffed to meet prospective Clearing and Adjustment applicants.

As ever, colleagues are asked to support this crucial recruitment and conversion activity. Please make our guests feel as welcome as possible and point them in the right direction.
