Record number of visitors come to Open Day
Wednesday, 01 October 2014
Whiteknights campus was buzzing on Saturday as we welcomed around 5,000 visitors to get a taste of life at Reading at our Open Day. Almost 70 per cent of our visitors rated the day as excellent and the feedback from 500 visitors (so far) has again demonstrated how our Open Days influence the decisions of prospective students and their families.
Comments included: "It's made me change my mind about university in general and will be my first choice!"
"Having visited eight other unis, this was by far the most organised and friendly and student helpers were exceptional" and "Today I fell in love with Reading University!"
Staff from every area of the University welcomed the next generation of students onto campus, offering stands, talks, drop-in discussions and taster sessions across every area of study and student life.
Ruth Collier, Head of Engagement and External Relations, said: "The energetic contribution of staff from right across the University was particularly impressive after such a busy Welcome Week. Feedback from visitors is coming in fast, but we are also very keen to hear the views of those staff who were closely involved in the day, so please do complete the short survey so we can make our next and final Open Day, on 25 October, even better."
