First Higher Education Academy Fellowships awarded through Accredited Scheme
Thursday, 06 November 2014
Congratulations to the first eight colleagues to have been awarded Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy through the University's new FLAIR Continuous Professional Development (CPD) scheme. Senior Fellowships were awarded to Emma Mayhew, Michelle Reid, Simon Sherratt and Sam Weston while Ricardo Grau Crespo, Andreas Hoepner, Maura O'Regan and Kerry Webb were awarded Fellow.
The new FLAIR Framework underpins the University's commitment to ensuring a high quality experience for our students which depends largely upon research-informed, innovative and evidence-based approaches to teaching practice and support. It also increases opportunities to support and recognise staff involved with teaching and supporting learning.
65 colleagues from across the university are currently involved in the pilot stage of this scheme which enables colleagues to gain recognition for their work in supporting teaching and learning within the University.
The scheme will be rolled out across the university in January. Lunchtime briefings will be held throughout the spring term for colleagues to find out more about the scheme. Places on these briefings can be booked through Employee Self Service or by emailing Eileen Hyder e.m.hyder@reading.ac.uk
