- The encouraging rise in undergraduate applications for 2015 entry - a 23% increase compared to this time last year;

- National policy developments from the Chancellor's autumn statement including the state-backed loans of up to £10,000 postgraduate study and the warning of "very substantial" cuts to public spending in the period ahead.
