Spring Enhancement Week 16-20 February

Tuesday, 17 February 2015

enhancement week

Week six of the spring term sees the return of Enhancement Week. The week offers dedicated time and resource for students to improve their study skills and enhance their employability. There is a range of activities on offer, with Schools/Departments creating an exciting portfolio of events and activities. To complement these local activities there also is a handful of centrally run activities.

Full details of the centrally run activities (including the locations of the extra study spaces) can be found on the Student News blog at www.reading.ac.uk/enhancement-week. We would be very grateful if you could help promote the centrally run activities. Whilst the centrally run activities are optional (as opposed to the compulsory School/Department ones, which should appear on students' timetables) they offer students a valuable opportunity to gain new skills and experiences.

It is important that staff emphasise to their students the fact that Enhancement Week is not a break from study or engagement with the University; instead, it should be seen as a different type of study rather than a break from study. There's no reading week at Reading!

Feedback

Let us know what you think of this term's Enhancement Week, especially the centrally organised sessions. Your suggestions will help us to improve Enhancement Week for the future and ensure that it is meeting our students' needs. You can send comments to School Directors of Teaching and Learning, Associate Deans of Teaching and Learning or to Richard Sandford (Student Communications Officer).
