Discover Reading goes live

Discover Reading

Discover Reading has gone live - the first step in a multi-phased programme to revamp the University's public-facing website, reading.ac.uk.ÔÇ¿ It creates a digitised version of the Open Day experience for the 2016 undergraduate cycle and underpins the new national recruitment campaign.

The new website includes a core set of up-to-date descriptions for all 250 undergraduate courses for autumn 2016, developed closely with each School and Department. It also has a new home page and revamped sections on study and life; the five research themes; and corporate governance. New online features, including a cost-of-living calculator and a personalised, digital prospectus (My Prospectus) will go live over the summer.

All other existing websites remain operating as normal - including Schools and Departments; research; Henley Business School; University of Reading Malaysia; alumni; staff and student information.

Working with colleagues across the University, the project team is planning the next stages of Discover Reading, alongside the continued development of three other digital products - the new Essentials platform for existing students; Me@Reading Applicant portal; and Me@Reading Student portal.

The end goal is to create a set of digital products to underpin the entire student journey- from someone's first contact with us as a prospective applicant, through their time studying here, to becoming an alumnus. This will transform the way we market ourselves and engage with students.

The project team welcomes constructive feedback and comments to content@reading.ac.uk
