University wins gold in the Heist awards
Monday, 13 July 2015
Our UK undergraduate student recruitment marketing and engagement campaign (including transforming our Open Days and our presence at Higher Education fairs) has won gold for the best student recruitment campaign in the Heist 2015 awards. The premier awards programme for marketing in the further and higher education sectors, the Heist Awards recognise and celebrate professionalism, expertise and innovation throughout the sector.
Last year, the University embarked on ambitious undergraduate recruitment activity which aimed to attract initial interest from the right students through the ‘Ready' campaign, and to make them passionate about applying through transforming Open Days to make them sector-leading. The campaign was part of the University's drive to raise aspiration and interest among prospective students and their influencers and ultimately increase applications for 2015 entry.
Relative to last year, this year the University has seen a 21% increase in applications compared to a sector average of just 2%.
This year's advertising campaign is currently live and colleagues may have seen the images online and in places like Paddington station, as well as around campus.
