Following a competitive process, Professor Dianne Berry has been appointed as Dean of Postgraduate Research Studies for a second period of five years with effect from 1 August 2015. Professor Berry's first period as Dean comes to an end on 31 July.

In addition to leading the development of the University of Reading Graduate School, Professor Berry will continue to provide strategic leadership and raise the profile of the University's postgraduate research provision.

Speaking on Professor Berry's reappointment, Professor Gavin Brooks, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Teaching and Learning), said: "I am delighted that Dianne has been appointed for a second term as Dean of Postgraduate Research Studies. During her first term of office, Dianne has made a significant contribution towards establishing a strong Graduate School at Reading and I have no doubt she will develop this, and the support she gives to our postgraduate students, further in her second term. I look forward to continuing to work with her going forwards."
