Message from the Vice-chancellor: A-level results, Clearing and Adjustment 2015
Wednesday, 12 August 2015
Thursday 13 August is A-level results day. Admissions and academic colleagues, both centrally and around the University, have been working hard over the past few days to ensure we secure our next cohort of talented undergraduate students. To enable us to respond quickly to all enquiries from both our firm and insurance offer holders, as well as prospective students wishing to join the University through Clearing or Adjustment, two individual hotlines will be in operation:

- Thursday 13 August 08.00-20.00
- Friday 14 August 08.00-18.00

- Monday 17 August onwards 09.00-17.00

This can be an anxious time for prospective students, so any calls or enquiries received should be redirected to the appropriate hotline. Occasionally during this period, prospective students choose to come to the campus to discuss their enquiry, face-to-face. All visitors should be directed to the Palmer Building, where the Admissions team will be able to provide help and advice. On Friday they should be directed to the Henley Business School, see below.
All students who are offered a place at Reading through the Clearing or Adjustment process will be given the opportunity to attend an invitation-only Open Morning on Friday 14 August where they can speak with academic colleagues and see our wonderful campuses and facilities. This activity will take place in the Henley Business School.
As ever, colleagues are asked to support this crucial recruitment and conversion activity. Please make our guests feel as welcome as possible and point them in the right direction.
Thank you in advance to everyone involved in this very busy and critical time for the University.
SIR DAVID BELL KCB
Vice-Chancellor
University of Reading
