Tuesday, 15 September 2015

QS world university rankings

'This assessment of our international reputation places us firmly at the top table of major global universities' Sir David Bell

The University of Reading has risen to its highest ever position in the QS World University Rankings published today (Tuesday 15th September). Reading now ranks 156th in the world, up from 202 last year, and the first time we have been ranked in the top 200 since 2010 - putting us firmly within the top one percent of institutions globally.

Reading has also enhanced its position amongst UK institutions rising from 30th to 25th of the 75 institution ranked by QS.

The global league table of universities is one of several independent measures of international university reputation. The QS rankings judge institutions on their academic reputation, global outlook, and research strength, amongst other criteria. Updates this year to how QS calculates research strength through citations has boosted Reading's overall ranking and scores.
