Invitation to public exhibition on the redevelopment of St Patrick's Halls

Thursday, 15 October 2015

redevelopment of St PatrickÔÇÖs Halls

Staff and students are invited to attend a public exhibition on the redevelopment of St Patrick’s Halls on Thursday 22 October. The site is due to be redeveloped between autumn 2016 and the start of the 2019/20 academic year. The exhibition is being held at the Old Senior Common Room in the Shamrock Café, University of Reading. Staff and students are welcome to visit the exhibition between 12:00 and 14:00.

The redevelopment plans aim to increase capacity by better utilising the existing grounds, to enhance the halls' architectural quality and environmental performance, and to transform the facilities for our students. Redevelopment will help secure the future of the campus as well as respond to the University’s need to provide more student accommodation.

The plans are being supported by the University Partnerships Programme (UPP), which operates and provides services to the whole of the University’s student accommodation. UPP has a strong track record of operating student accommodation and will bring specialist expertise to this project and the ongoing management of the halls.

The exhibition will also be available online for those who can’t attend in person. Comments on the proposals must be submitted by 29 October. For further details, please contact stpatsproject@reading.ac.uk.
