Final Open Day of 2015 is our largest yet
Tuesday, 20 October 2015
On Saturday 17 October, the final Open Day of the year proved to be the largest held so far, with over 5,000 visitors in attendance. As with our earlier Open Days, feedback from guests has been extremely positive, with many visitors praising the energetic atmosphere and the helpfulness of staff and student guides.
Around 7,000 guests had registered to attend to the event on Saturday; this by no means made the attendance seem smaller by comparison, as the campus was thriving with activity across the course of the day. The Dome at Whiteknights again played an integral part as representatives across the University provided prospective students with an introduction to our courses and the student experiences on offer at Reading.
Vice-Chancellor, Sir David Bell, has praised the extraordinary work that has gone into shaping our recent Open Days.
”There has been a real team effort with staff from across the University engaging themselves in a whole variety of ways; before, during and indeed after the events. Again, we can be very pleased with the positive impression of the University that, collectively, we created.”
The Vice-Chancellor has also expressed his gratitude for the extra support our current students have given for our Open Days. “I am writing separately to all the students who turned out for the Open Days. Yet again, they were superb ambassadors for the University.”
