UROP invites application for research projects
Tuesday, 10 November 2015
The University Research Opportunities Programme (UROP) is inviting applications from academic departments and directorates for research projects involving undergraduates.
UROP provides undergraduates with an opportunity to gain experience of research through a paid six-week project during the summer vacation. Staff gain a fresh perspective on their research and the opportunity to develop a promising candidate for postgraduate research.
Since 2006, UROP has supported over 400 undergraduate research projects since 2006.
This year, two students of the University presented their research to MPs and ministers at a ‘Posters in Parliament' event. Some of the students also attended the annual British Conference of Undergraduate Research in April.
Members of staff interested in applying are invited to attend a showcase posted event at Henley Business School on 11 November. Research students from summer 2015 will present their work at the event.
If you are new to the University or UROP, email urop@reading.ac.uk to organise a briefing for your School or Department. Individuals seeking advice on the programme can also email.
The deadline for applications is Friday 18th December 2015 at 5pm. For more info on UROP, click here.
