EPSRC science photo competition 2015

The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) has launched its third science photo competition, which will run until midnight on Saturday 19 December 2015.
The competition is open to EPSRC-supported researchers and doctoral students.
EPSRC is the main UK government agency for funding research and training in engineering and the physical sciences. It invests more than £800 million a year in subjects like mathematics, material science, structural engineering and information technology.
The science photo competition aims to bring alive research through photographs. Submissions are invited in five categories:
- People – Images of people working as part of your research team, or taking part in or affected by your research.
- Weird and wonderful – Unusual, eye-catching and bizarre images arising from your research.
- Eureka – Images that reflect new discoveries and understanding arising from your research and the processes involved in achieving them.
- Innovation – Images of research that has inspired innovation or is related to commercial breakthroughs.
- Equipment – Images of the equipment, facilities and tools used in your research.
Entrants are permitted to submit the same image into a maximum of three categories.
