Department of Meteorology photo competition

This photo taken by Adam Lack won the 2014 Nature and Weather category.

The Department of Meteorology have launched their annual environmental photo competition, and are now welcoming entries from other departments across the University.

Choosing one of the three categories listed below, photographers can submit one photo to the competition by 30 November.  Please remember that only one photo can be submitted per entry, so choose your category wisely.

The categories are:

  1. Seasons – encapsulate any of the four seasons.
  2. Big Weather/Nature – illustrate how the weather or nature can make us feel small in comparison.
  3. Light and Dark – capture striking contrasts, such as sunrises, sunsets and lightning bolts.

To submit an entry, send your photo over to meteorologyphoto@gmail.com and list the category you would like your photo to be entered into as the subject of your email.

Please ensure that each photo file is no larger than 2MB. Photo editing is to be kept to a minimum- you may digitally enhance your image, but no manipulation or heavy editing should take place. Only digital entries are accepted.
