Public exhibition - diversion of public right of way at URS

Friday, 04 December 2015

Events

A public exhibition on the diversion of the Public Right of Way (PRoW), as part of URS Building refurbishment, will take place on Monday 7 December.

The exhibition will take place at the university library, between 11  am and 7 pm.

The URS building was constructed in the seventies and is considered architecturally unique.

The remodelled and extended building will provide a home for the School of Architecture alongside the School of Construction Management and Engineering, and the School of Arts and Communication Design.

The refurbishment will require the diversion of a section of the right of way. This currently runs underneath the upper floor overhang of the building, an area that the University is proposing to infill to allow the building to be extended.

There are three options for managing the diversion of the right of way, with Option-1 being the University’s preferred option.

The public exhibition will offer people an opportunity to provide their feedback on options. Consultants will be available to answer queries.

For those unable to visit the exhibition, the proposed options can be seen at www.reading.ac.uk/right-of-way-consultation, where you can also provide feedback.

The deadline for feedback is Monday 4 January 2016.
